Applicants must:
Reach 17 years of age by the end of the programme
Have a current CAA Class 2 Medical
Have sufficient ability in reading, speaking and understanding the English language
Complete two written enrolment exams
Complete a written application including evidence of skill based on two (2) references
Undertake an interview

Our Private Pilots Licence (PPL) Training programme has duration of 12 weeks.

It is a full time course that requires dedication and commitment to meet the standards set by New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Private Pilot Training students will have completed 52 hours of flying (approximately) during the course. Training is conducted to a New Zealand, CAA Private Pilot Standard.

Includes exams, maps, charts, text books, ASL study materials and other aviation equipment.

 

 

This PPL licence programme has 52 hours of actual helicopter flight training. There are six (6) theory modules with written exams at the completion of each module.

5 hours Sling Training – (under load lifting and carrying of material objects – elective module)
5 hours Night Training – (elective module)
